A Joke a Day in Aotearoa!

Passers by have been enjoying a laugh on their daily walks in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland NZ, thanks to the work of placemaker Boopsie from Places for Good. The initiative is part of Porch Placemaking Week and is designed to bring a smile to neighbours faces as they venture out on their daily lockdown walk during level 4 restrictions.

Already 28 days in, the initiative has had great feedback, with members of the street sending people up the hill specifically to ‘check for daily updates’! The biggest challenge Boopsie has noted is keeping the chalkboard dry!
